This is the brand new improved Big Shot which now comes with an extended multi purpose platform and is a very pretty teal, duck egg blue and apricot colour…

n13-big-shot

… and we have got the starter pack rather than just the machine as all the goodies that it comes with are brilliant. You get a large Bigz die, a really lovely embossing folder, two sizzlets and a set of thin framelet dies, seven in total! Not forgetting a small sample pack of card stock.

n14

The butterfly is really beautiful and fits exactly over the solid butterfly on the Bigz die!

n15

The new Starter Kit has a rrp of £110. As an introductory offer for one week only (or whilst stocks last!) we are offering it for only £85, and then our usual price will be £95. Please note that both these discounted prices are outside our usual loyalty scheme.

n16

If you want to update your existing Big Shot the extended platform is available to purchase separately.

The diagrams on the Extended Multipurpose Platform offer easy guidelines about how to make the perfect Sizzix sandwich.

To summarise the starter kit includes the following products:

  • 1 Bigz die (Basic Shapes)
  • 2 Medium Sizzlits dies (Butterfly, Delicate; Flowers #20)
  • 1 Framelits die set (Basic Shapes)
  • 1 A2 Large Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Dotted Lattice)
  • 10 Assorted Samples of Core’dinations Cardstock

The Big Shot Machine measures approximately 14 1/4″ x 12 3/8″ x 6 5/8″ and features a three-year limited warranty.

These three cards have all been made by Paula Pascale using the starter kit. I have showed this first card on the blog before…

…and these next two cards are really lovely. This one only uses the little heart and the little label shape but what a clever design:

n-19-card-1

All the flowers and circles layer up beautiful and that butterfly is gorgeous.

I have also been waiting for this two corner rounder punch set by EK Success. Fantastic quality and value and very useful as you get a 1″ and 1/2″ corner:

New Dylusion Ink Colours!

The brand new Dylusion Ink sprays arrived today and Carolyn couldn’t wait to try them out!

n10-carolyn-with-sprays

There are five new bright and gorgeous colours and a white which is unusual. I think it will look fabulous sprayed over dark colours, and mixed with the other colours gives a very different effect.

If you are coming to the techniques |masterclass tomorrow morning you will be able to try them for yourself.

Engravers Artist Board

Iv’e been asked to stock this product so here it is. I remember using something like this as a child to scratch pictures with – but i think this is a little more sophisticated! Fabulous to use with your embossing folders – and the core is metallic – how cool is that!

n-engraving-art-board

Fantastic value as you get 6 A4 sheets for £6. Even better if you share with a friend and get all three metallic finishes!

I have some lovely cards to share – some you will have seen in class, plus there are a couple of new ones too!

Julie Staves loves the creativity of using stencils and has been trying out all the new techniques with them. Have a look at these wonderful cards. How about using your metallic gilding flakes with your stencils? You can  get fabulous effects. This is a Sweet Poppy stencil that Julie has used.

julie-1

And Julie has used her large Dreamweaver dragon again – and what a wow factor this has!

julie-2

Have a close up look at the multi coloured gilding:

julie-3

One of the techniques we did in class involved adding colours and micro beads which gives your image a fabulous texture. Julie has used another Dreamweaver stencil of a pair of cute owls with  this technique. I really like the way that Julie has also layered her background elements too when creating the card:

julie-4

It is hard to see but Julie has also layered a strip of gilding flakes along her ribbon too! I think you can see the great texture that the mico beads give in this close up photo.

julie-5

Julie has used another Sweet Poppy stencil for this beautiful card. Great colouring and texture. I like the way that Julie has done some faux embossing with  punched hearts in the background too.

julie-6

Julie experimented with the colouring on this card and had a go using her Tim Holtz distress pens.

julie-7

This final card is again a Dreamweaver stencil of flying geese. I love this design – brilliant for masculine cards I think.

julie-8

In this close up shot you can see the wonderful shine of the gilding flakes.

julie-9

These next two cards have been made by Linda Clare and Jane Towse. The first one uses glitter and the waterfall technique. This is so pretty!

stencil-card-1

The second card uses transparent paste and micro beads for a beautiful frosty finish.

stencil-card-2

This final card has been made by Denise Hutchings who has used the Molten Magic technique, which we re-visited in class .  This card is stunning. Denise has used silver paste and a selection of mica powders. The background patterned paper is by My Minds Eye.

stencil-card-3

Thanks Julie, Linda, Jane and Denise for sharing your brilliant cards.

We have restocked on transparent paste and masking tape today – plus we have a fabulous selection of new stencils for you!

A wonderful selection of designs inspired by nature:

The Agapanthus on the far left was the stencil I used in class for the demonstrations:

I think these would be perfect for Christmas cards:

The bell would be lovely on a wedding card too:

Butterflies are always gorgeous, but these are especially so:

And I loved these fairy designs:

Let me know if you see a design you would like reserved. I’m looking forward to seeing some more stunning stencil cards from our local crafters soon which I hope I will be able to share.

Each pot is still only £2.40 and look at how many we now have – including the puff powder, which I can’t wait to use. It evidently puffs up to three times it’s size!!

We have also ordered these WOW! stamps which I thought were fabulous designs:n-42-wow-stamps

WOW! embossing powders have an excellent reputation but if you have used them yourselves why not leave a comment on how you found them?

Clare has posted quite a few projects over the last couple of weeks using the new  stamps. Why not pop over to her blog for a look:

http://mollybloomdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/

Isn’t this gorgeous. I love all the little details that Clare includes on her projects.

All these fabulous cards have been made by Clare. You can see more of them on her blog.

My favourite stamp in the collection is this gorgeous windmill!  Did you notice the double stitch stamp around the edge?

Susanne could not resist “Eat My Dust Molly” – looking forward to seeing what she does with it.

“Chocks Away” is great for boys:

This watering can filled with tulips is lovely:

Dawn Hawkins, and then our Susanne were the first to get their hands on the new stamps  - I wonder who will be the first to finish a project using them!
